team performance consulting

Most, if not all, significant human achievements involve sustained, coordinated work by teams, yet many organizations leave teamwork up to chance.

At HappyTeams, we believe that teamwork does not happen by magic, or by accident. With the right conditions, shared understandings, and actions to promote trust and communication, teamwork can be developed and sustained over time.

We provide the structure and skills for your team to succeed.

Five Lenses Approach©

We use the HappyTeams' Five Lenses Approach to identify the challenges faced by the team, decide on appropriate interventions, and keep track of improvements over time.

We use five "lenses" to identify the areas the team needs to strengthen. We provide workshops and learning sessions that are designed to empower the team members to develop their own agreements and solutions.

As part of our teamwork consulting service, we incorporate established frameworks and tools such as the Grove Consultants International Team Performance™ System and the Belbin Team Roles. Click on the link below for a more detailed explanation of our approach:
HappyTeams Five Lenses

Structure

Through a participatory process, your team will develop:

  • A Working Together Agreement to set common principles, decide on work arrangements, and set expectations

  • An operational Game Plan for the next 6 months to 1 year

  • Role clarity and alignment, both within the team and with larger organizational goals

  • A system for decision-making and accountability within the team

Skills

In addition, we will help your team learn and practice critical skills:

  • Best practices for communication

  • Effective listening, a critical leadership skill

  • A shared framework for assessing each team member's strengths and how the team will work together

  • How to build psychological safety

Why choose happyteams?

  • Accountability-- because people are more likely to follow through on decisions when they have had a say

  • Better outcomes, faster-- because the process is designed specifically to achieve the group's objectives

  • A sense of connection among the team / organization
